JQ type clamp coupling is a type of coupling that utilizes two clamp shells split along the axial direction, which are clamped with bolts to achieve two axis connection. The torque is transmitted by the friction force between the surfaces of the two halves of the coupling, and a flat key is used as an auxiliary connection.
Disadvantages of JQ type clamp coupling
The disadvantage of JQ type clamp coupling is low accuracy in aligning the two axis axes, complex structure and shape, low manufacturing and balancing accuracy, and only suitable for low-speed and stable load situations. Generally, the linear speed of the outer edge is not greater than 5m/s. When the linear speed exceeds 5m/s, balance verification is required.
